I’m Shadi Sayyar, the founder of Space Plus Art Inc. My journey in design began with architecture and has evolved through years of education, professional experience, and a deep passion for creating meaningful spaces.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, which has been academically assessed and recognized in Canada through the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB), as well as an Associate Degree in Interior Design from the Visual College of Art and Design (VCAD) in Vancouver. This combination of architectural knowledge and interior design expertise allows me to approach each project with a comprehensive understanding of both the building and the people who experience the space.

After more than a decade of working with well-known Canadian architecture and interior design firms, I founded Space Plus Art Inc. to bring my experience, creativity, and personal approach directly to clients. Throughout my career, I have contributed to a diverse range of residential, commercial, hospitality, and tenant improvement projects, developing a strong understanding of design development, construction documentation, BC Building Code requirements, and municipal permitting processes.

Today, through Space Plus Art, I work on a variety of projects including custom homes, single-family residences, multiplex developments, renovations, tenant improvements, and interior design projects throughout British Columbia. My goal is to combine thoughtful design, practical solutions, and a strong understanding of construction to create spaces that are not only beautiful, but also functional, timeless, and built to last.

I believe every successful project begins with listening and understanding each client’s unique needs, lifestyle, and vision. I strive to make the design process clear, collaborative, and enjoyable while delivering personalized solutions with honesty, attention to detail, and care.
